About the position
The Heavy Industrial Assembler position at Aerotek involves performing mechanical repairs, assembly, and disassembly on industrial products. The role requires the use of hand and power tools, and adherence to standard operating procedures in a lean manufacturing environment. This is a contract position aimed at addressing workload demands, with a focus on safety and quality procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical repairs, assembly, and disassembly on industrial products.
- Utilize hand and power tools, including impact guns and torque wrenches.
- Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions for each station.
- Conduct mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installation of parts.
- Work with railcars and suppliers of BNSF parts.
- Engage in disassembly, cleaning, requalification, and rework of equipment.
- Operate manual and automated equipment for assembly operations.
- Conduct inspections and non-destructive testing.
Requirements
- Ability to perform mechanical repairs and assembly.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures in a manufacturing environment.
