About the position

The Heavy Maintenance Lead at JF Petroleum Group is responsible for overseeing a team of Heavy Maintenance Technicians, ensuring efficient task assignment and high-quality completion of maintenance operations. This role involves direct communication with customers and team members, conducting safety evaluations, and maintaining equipment standards. The position requires a hands-on leader who can mentor technicians and contribute to performance reviews while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent communication to Customers and Teammates
  • Ensure a high quality of workmanship to meet customer expectations
  • Act as onsite working leader and point of contact for high priority and sensitive issues
  • Complete Heavy Maintenance assignments to meet customer response time objectives
  • Complete and submit paperwork from the job site
  • Conduct onsite safety evaluations to ensure safe completion of assignments
  • Review jobs with Service Manager / Project Manager and/or Sales
  • Review reports to ensure high-level team performance
  • Provide input on ideas to improve team performance
  • Maintain all company equipment in good working condition
  • Ensure team certifications for Heavy Maintenance Level are up to date
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications for HM level on equipment, products, and safety practices

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years of direct Heavy Maintenance experience in the Petroleum Industry
  • Ability to lead and mentor 4-6 Heavy Maintenance Technicians
  • Team player with high standards for appearance and professionalism
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Willingness to work after-hours
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, as significant work is outdoors
  • Willingness to travel, up to 2 weeks at a time
  • Ability to safely operate industry-specific tools and equipment
  • Ability to meet company's employment requirements, including passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR if driving for the company
