Responsibilities
- Supervise service and repair work on heavy-duty mobile equipment and vehicles powered by internal combustion engines.
- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules and sequences of operations for subordinates.
- Develop performance standards and conduct performance appraisals for employees.
- Explain repair work requirements and instruct subordinates in new procedures for maintenance operations.
- Utilize Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) Logistics Information Systems to document maintenance operations.
Requirements
- Ability to perform the work of a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic Supervisor without more than normal supervision.
- Experience in providing performance standards and counseling employees on performance.
- Ability to perform field-level maintenance operations and repairs on heavy mobile equipment and vehicles.
- Skill in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and diagnosing repairs.
- Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, and repair.
