About the position

Air Wisconsin Airlines is seeking a Heavy MX Representative to join our team in Millington, TN. This position operates under the general supervision of the Director of Contract Maintenance & Engine Programs and is responsible for overseeing heavy maintenance activities, including short-term and long-term storage, Mobile Repair Team (MRT) operations, and paint program activities. The Heavy MX Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring that our aircraft maintenance processes are executed safely and efficiently, contributing to the overall mission of providing safe and pleasant travel experiences for our customers. In this role, you will promote and foster a safe and secure operating environment while ensuring the timely and accurate processing of aircraft maintenance records. This includes managing various reporting requirements such as Technical Response Approval Group (TRAG), Service Difficulty Reporting (SDR), Major Repair, Alteration Report, and Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPCP) reporting. You will oversee contract personnel performing heavy maintenance and ensure that all contracted services are executed in accordance with the terms of the agreement with the maintenance provider. Additionally, you will be responsible for approving man-hours for all non-routine work and conducting initial invoice reviews. Compliance with DOT/FAA regulations and company policies is paramount, and you will ensure adherence to the Air Wisconsin Airlines General Maintenance Manual (GMM). Building and maintaining partnerships with contracted maintenance providers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) will also be a key aspect of your role, as will coordinating activities related to engineering services, material and tooling requirements, quality assurance, and production. This position requires extensive travel, reflecting the dynamic nature of the aviation maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and foster a safe and secure operating environment.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of aircraft maintenance records for maintenance performed at assigned facility.
  • Oversee contract personnel performing heavy maintenance and ensure contracted services are performed per the terms of the agreement.
  • Oversee approval of man-hours for all non-routine work performed and for initial invoice review and approval.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT/FAA regulations and company policies in accordance with the Air Wisconsin Airlines General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
  • Maintain partnership with contracted maintenance provider and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).
  • Coordinate activities related to engineering services, material and tooling requirements, quality assurance, and production.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in aviation management or engineering.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Three to five years supervisory experience in a FAR Part 121 Air Carrier operations.
  • Three to five years quality assurance/quality control experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Good working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Ability to work independently.
