About the position

The Hedge Fund Analyst position at Binding Minds involves overseeing and performing annual audit and financial reporting activities for a portfolio of hedge funds. The role requires a detailed review of financial statements and disclosures, as well as providing feedback for process improvements and technical subject matters based on past experience. This is a contract position with a hybrid work model based in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform annual audit and financial reporting activities for a book of hedge funds.
• Conduct detailed reviews of balance sheets, income statements, statements of changes, consolidated SOI, and financial highlights.
• Review footnotes including disclosures of ASC 820, ASC 815, ASU 2011-4, and other required disclosures.
• Support audit-related projects as needed.
• Provide feedback for process improvement efforts identified during assignments.
• Offer insights on technical subject matters based on past work experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in financial reporting, financial statement preparation, and/or auditing complex funds (hedge funds, mutual funds, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft core programs, particularly strong Excel, Word, and Outlook.
