About the position

The Hedge Fund Audit Analyst position at Binding Minds Inc. involves overseeing and performing annual audit and financial reporting activities for a portfolio of hedge funds. The role is crucial in ensuring that audits are completed within set deadlines in accordance with U.S. GAAP. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including HFA analysts, managers, and external service providers, to facilitate the audit process effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and/or perform annual audit and financial reporting activities for a book of hedge funds.
• Conduct detailed reviews of balance sheets, income statements, statements of changes, consolidated SOI, financial highlights, and footnotes.
• Support audit-related projects as needed.
• Provide feedback for process improvement efforts identified during assignments.
• Offer insights on technical subject matters based on past work experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• 5 years of experience with complex funds (hedge funds, difficult mutual funds, master feeders, side pockets, etc.).
• 5 years of experience in financial reporting.
• 5 years of experience in financial auditing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft core programs, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
