At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Help Desk Specialist II you will provide support to end users on a variety of issues; identify, research, and resolve technical problems. You will also respond to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support while documenting, tracking, and monitoring the problem to ensure a timely resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to end users on a variety of issues.
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
  • Respond to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
  • Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution.
  • Install and support commercial software and related upgrades.
  • Update solutions database with applicable resolutions.
  • Problem solving, hardware/software installation and configuration based on computing standards.
  • Client support for all network and desktop issues.
  • Monitor and enforce all IT policies and procedures.
  • Assist with setting up new users in IDAM and multiple level security LDAP profiles.
  • Install and configure computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and related hardware.
  • Maintain, upgrade, and repair PCs/laptops and Windows desktop applications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in information technology or a related field.
  • SAP experience required.
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience (4 years).
  • IAT Level II certification - within 6 months of hire.
  • Required security clearance - TS/SCI.
  • Must be able to obtain - TS/SCI with CI poly.
