About the position

The Help Desk Specialist at Mesquite Independent School District is responsible for providing technical support to personnel within the Technical Services Department. This role involves troubleshooting various technology issues and assisting with related tasks, ensuring efficient operation of IT services in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist personnel with technical issues and troubleshooting tasks.
• Repair and maintain technology including computers, iPads, Chromebooks, and printers.
• Utilize Ivanti Service Manager or other ITSM software for support management.
• Provide support for various operating systems including Windows, iOS, macOS, Android, Linux, and Chrome OS.
• Communicate effectively with users to resolve issues and provide guidance.
• Document technical issues and solutions through technical writing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience troubleshooting technology in an enterprise environment.
• Experience in a high-volume support call center.
• Certifications: CompTIA A+, Tech+, Network+, Security+, Apple Certified Support Professional, Microsoft Desktop Administrator Associate.
• Knowledge of Ivanti Service Manager or other ITSM software suites.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows, iOS, macOS, Android, Linux, and Chrome OS operating systems.
• Experience with enterprise software such as MUNIS, Solarwinds, Skyward, Microsoft Suite, JAMF Pro, Outlook Email, and Google Administration tools.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
