About the position

The Desk Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring that their IT-related issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software problems, maintaining IT equipment, and delivering exceptional customer service to enhance user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and manage IT equipment, including computers, printers, and peripherals.
  • Document support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Assist with the setup and configuration of new devices and software applications.
  • Train users on new technologies and software as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a technical support role or similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory and user account management.
