About the position

MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Help Desk Support Technician/Event Coordinator with a Secret Clearance to support the USAF Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB, NM. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems used by internal and external customers. The technician will be responsible for resolving technical problems and answering queries via telephone, providing essential support to users in a timely and efficient manner. The role requires a proactive approach to diagnosing, identifying, isolating, and analyzing problems, utilizing historical database records to inform solutions. The technician may also be responsible for routing calls to product line specialists when necessary, ensuring that issues are addressed by the appropriate personnel. Maintaining and updating records and tracking databases is a key responsibility, as is alerting management to recurring problems and patterns that may indicate larger systemic issues. This position is integral to the operational success of the DMOC, and the technician will play a vital role in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through effective technical support.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Secret Clearance is required for this position.
  • Experience in technical support or help desk roles.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively assist customers over the phone.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
