About the position

The Help Desk & Systems Support Specialist at Holmen High School is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for all technology equipment, software, and systems resources within the school. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting end-users, and ensuring effective communication between technical staff and users. The position requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate the needs of the school, particularly during events at the Fine Arts Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshoot technology equipment, software, and systems resources.
• Provide communications support for end-users and technical staff.
• Utilize help desk system tools to identify district and building level needs based on incident priorities.
• Work collaboratively with I&T Services staff to maintain updated Help Desk records and inventory databases.
• Provide technical support for the High School Fine Arts Center, including assisting staff during events.

Requirements

• A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• A degree from vocational/technical college in computers or related area, or at least five (5) years experience in computer technical support in PreK-12 education environment.
• Hardware A+ certification preferred.
• Experience in use of computer imaging/OS deployment software.
• Experience supporting Windows and Mac OS operating systems.
• Competency in end-user support for all district wide software and hardware.
• Experience in hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Specific software experience includes Google G-Suite Apps, Microsoft Office, and digital media creation & editing.
