About the position

The Help Desk Technician-Junior position at AMEWAS involves providing on-site technical support to employees, addressing various hardware and software issues, and performing routine IT tasks. This role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency of the corporate office and requires a motivated individual with a customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to help desk requests made by employees for various client network, software, or hardware issues.
  • Perform routine tasks such as user account management.
  • Conduct Windows operating system duties, software installation, and software/hardware troubleshooting.
  • Maintain documentation, log monitoring, security auditing, inventory management, and other help desk and system administration tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
  • Experience with installing and configuring Windows.
  • Experience with wired and wireless networking.
  • Experience with troubleshooting Windows and networking issues.
  • Experience with Active Directory (AD).
  • Experience with VMWare.
  • Understanding of DNS and DHCP.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with VLANs, HTML, website design, SharePoint design, and subnetting.
  • Experience using Fortinet appliances and managed switches.
  • Experience and training in Advanced VMWare.
  • Experience working with a Firewall.
