About the position

The position involves managing the build-out and renovation of data center infrastructure projects from inception to completion. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that customer technology needs are met while adhering to project specifications and timelines. The individual will lead a team, manage budgets, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to deliver successful data center solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of data center build-out and renovation projects.
• Assist the Lead Project Manager with telecom cabling for a large copper and fiber infrastructure renovation.
• Lead the data center team to ensure customer technology needs are satisfied.
• Coordinate overall data center plans, budget, project structure, schedule, and customer relationship requirements.
• Integrate all functions necessary to perform the project according to customer requirements and project specifications.
• Trace and identify circuits and document them accurately.
• Plan cutovers and create rack elevations for data center setups.
• Ensure compliance with design and security requirements, codes, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience managing data center setups, transitions, and cutovers.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or 10 years of progressive experience in inside plant cable infrastructure.
• Excellent customer service skills and effective communication with non-technical users.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn quickly and retain information.

Nice-to-haves

• Data Center Design Consultant (DCDC) certification by BICSI.
• BICSI Fiber/Copper certification.
