About the position
The position is for a Hematology and Oncology MD to provide locum tenens coverage in Walla Walla, Washington. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, with a focus on adult patient demographics. The coverage is needed from December 1, 2024, and includes clinical duties along with on-call responsibilities. The physician will work alongside a support staff team and will be required to supervise advanced practice providers (APPs).
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care in Hematology and Oncology settings.
- Supervise advanced practice providers (APPs).
- Participate in nightly and weekend call duties as per the call schedule.
- Conduct phone consultations as needed.
- Rounding on patients as required.
- Utilize EMR systems (Epic/Dragon) for patient documentation.
Requirements
- Active Washington State medical license or IMLC.
- Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Epic/Dragon EMR systems.
- Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient service settings.
