About the position

The Teller position at Isabella Bank is a part-time role focused on providing excellent customer service while handling various banking transactions. The Teller will be responsible for processing deposits, withdrawals, and payments, as well as promoting additional financial services to customers. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and customers alike.

Responsibilities

• Receive checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, examine checks for proper endorsement, and enter deposits into computer records.
• Cash checks and process withdrawals; pay out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
• Promote and explain other financial institution services such as CDs, safe deposit boxes, traveler's checks, and money orders.
• Receive mortgage, consumer loan, and other payments and ensure the payments match the balance due.
• Enter payments into the computer and generate customer receipts.
• Count, check, and package coins and currency.
• Ensure that teller stations are properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
• Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for this position.
• Perform other similar or related duties as necessary.
• Deliver outstanding customer service.
• Assist with account opening procedures.
• Pin ATM/Debit cards.
• Document and file items into synergy.
• Travel to other branches to assist with staffing may be required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Previous cash handling or teller experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Good mathematical skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Enthusiastic, positive, outgoing personality.
