About the position

As a Luxury Sales Representative at Hendrick BMW of Kansas City, you will be responsible for selling new or used vehicles while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role requires you to meet dealership sales goals and engage with customers to determine their vehicle preferences. You will explain vehicle features and demonstrate operations both in the showroom and during test drives. Additionally, you will suggest optional equipment for customers to consider purchasing, compute and quote sales prices, and complete all necessary paperwork related to vehicle sales, including sales slips and contracts. Your responsibilities will also include arranging for the delivery and registration of vehicles, researching the availability of models and optional equipment, and engaging in business development activities. Addressing customer concerns and maintaining a Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) at or above company standards is crucial. You will be expected to maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area, participate in required training, and accurately record all hours worked in the company timekeeping system. Following company policies and safety regulations is essential in this role. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, but it does require a commitment to the company's core values, which include servant leadership, teamwork, integrity, customer commitment, passion for winning, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will be expected to perform your duties in various environments, both indoors and outdoors, and may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of your scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Meet dealership sales goals.
  • Greet customers and determine the make, type, and quality of vehicle desired.
  • Explain features and demonstrate operation of vehicles in the showroom or on demonstration drives.
  • Suggest optional equipment for customers to purchase.
  • Compute and quote sales prices, including tax, trade-in allowance, and discount.
  • Complete paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including preparing sales slips or sales contracts.
  • Arrange for delivery and registration of vehicles.
  • Research availability of models and optional equipment.
  • Engage in business development activities.
  • Address customer concerns and maintain CSI at or above company standards.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
  • Participate in required training and record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.
  • Follow Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrate the Company's Core Values and comply with Company policies and procedures.
  • Observe all Federal, State, Local, and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred (Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate).
  • Prior sales and/or customer service experience desired (up to 3 years preferred).
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
  • Ability to learn web applications for customer management.
