About the position

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Hendrick Clinic and Hendrick Anesthesia Network (HAN) is responsible for overseeing and managing the operational and administrative functions of Hendrick's employed medical groups. This role involves co-managing clinic operations with the Assistant Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) to support medical providers and ensure the long-term operational and financial sustainability of both Hendrick Clinic and HAN. The CAO plays a key role in developing and implementing strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with Hendrick Health's Mission, Vision, and Core Values, and integrating services with broader organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Advance Hendrick Health's Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
  • Co-Lead the HPN Board of Directors, developing and executing meeting agendas and facilitating board meetings.
  • Collaborate on Hendrick Health Strategic Initiatives with system leaders.
  • Lead Strategic Planning for Hendrick Clinic, ensuring alignment with overall strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate with Campus CAOs to achieve strategic goals and operational objectives.
  • Support Provider Recruitment by developing strategies and participating in recruitment efforts.
  • Cultivate Organizational Culture to promote high provider and staff engagement.
  • Model Ethics and Integrity, setting expectations for direct and indirect reports.
  • Enhance Communication through timely and effective interactions with providers and staff.
  • Engage Providers and Employees in achieving objectives and incorporating their feedback.
  • Optimize Provider and Staff Onboarding processes for better retention.
  • Monitor Performance Metrics in key areas like patient experience and corporate compliance.
  • Support Effective Stewardship to ensure financial performance meets sustainability requirements.
  • Ensure Corporate Compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Oversee Administrative Policies to enhance departmental effectiveness and achieve objectives.
  • Administer the Provider Compensation Plan in line with organizational policies.
  • Represent the Organization in community forums and events.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or to be received within two years).
  • 5 to 10 years of healthcare or clinic management experience.
