About the position

The Vice President of Club Operations (VPCO) at Henke Development Group is a strategic leadership role focused on enhancing the operational management and member experience across multiple high-end club properties. This position requires a blend of hospitality passion, financial acumen, and innovative thinking to maximize the long-term value of club assets. The VPCO will collaborate with club managers and department heads to ensure consistent hospitality standards and implement best business practices, while also being involved in the development of new projects and initiatives that align with the company's mission of creating exceptional environments and experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the personality, culture, and vibe of the country club properties.
  • Collaborate with the Club Manager and department managers to ensure consistent hospitality standards.
  • Analyze and update current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and implement new processes as needed.
  • Manage financial and operational reporting to ownership, ensuring transparency and strategic planning.
  • Oversee adherence to operational goals and provide managerial counsel on all matters.
  • Enhance staff capabilities in data-driven decision-making and performance evaluation.
  • Capture member activity and preferences for personalized communication and marketing efforts.
  • Improve member engagement and spending through analysis and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify organizational needs for better consistency and economies of scale across clubs.
  • Build a comprehensive training program for staff to encourage career development.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of progressive leadership/management experience in hospitality or club operations.
  • Strong financial management and marketing experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the club industry, including benchmarks and performance metrics.
  • Experience in starting up new properties or significant construction projects is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • PGA background or hospitality experience focused on high-end luxury living.
  • Industry certifications such as CCM, CCE, CAM, or PGA.
