About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various farming operations, animal care, and maintenance of farm equipment. This role requires physical stamina, a willingness to learn, and a passion for working outdoors in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on farm machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Handle animals with care, ensuring their health and well-being through proper feeding and monitoring.
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the farm facilities, including barns and storage areas.
- Utilize basic math skills for measuring land areas, calculating feed amounts, and recording production data.
- Maintain field fences, yard, and area surroundings.
- Complete additional duties as assigned, including deliveries.
Requirements
- Proficiency in basic math for operational tasks related to farming activities.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday.
- Knowledge of operating farm machinery safely and effectively.
- Experience in animal handling is beneficial for managing livestock on the farm.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain farm supplies.
- Leadership capabilities to supervise other workers effectively when required.
