About the position
Caring People Home Care is seeking a qualified Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide essential support to clients in their daily activities. The role focuses on assisting clients with personal care, companionship, and maintaining a safe living environment, while also ensuring accurate medical documentation and engaging clients in memory care activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to client preferences.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation regarding client care and progress.
- Support mobility by assisting clients with lifting and transferring as needed.
- Engage clients in memory care activities to stimulate cognitive function and enhance quality of life.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home community care, assisted living, or caregiving is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices is beneficial.
- Experience in memory care settings is a plus.
- Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility challenges is essential.
- A caring attitude and strong communication skills are critical for success in this role.
