About the position

As an Arcadia Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting seniors and individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently in their own homes. You will be responsible for following specific care plans tailored to each client, ensuring that their personal care needs are met, which includes assistance with bathing, dressing, and other daily activities. Additionally, you will provide support with routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry, contributing to a safe and comfortable living environment for your clients. Your role will also involve transporting clients to essential appointments, such as doctor's visits and grocery shopping, as well as assisting them with the self-administration of medications. It is crucial to observe and report any changes in the client's condition, maintaining a high degree of confidentiality due to access to sensitive information. Regular attendance and flexibility to meet the needs of the department are essential, as is adherence to all Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements. This position may also require you to perform other duties as assigned, ensuring that you are adaptable and responsive to the needs of your clients and the organization.

Responsibilities

• Follow specific care plans for clients and report on completed tasks.
• Assist with the personal care needs of the client (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor's office, grocery store, and other essential errands.
• Assist the client with the self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report any changes in the client's condition.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information.
• Maintain regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department.
• Follow all Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements.
• Abide by all regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be a Certified Home Health or Personal Care Aide.
• Pre-employment physical examination/PPD prior to patient contact.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation; if by car, a valid driver's license and proof of insurance are required.
• Nurturing and compassionate nature with the desire to care for others.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
