About the position

Amergis Staffing is seeking remote High Level Math and Science Tutors to provide educational support in subjects such as Calculus and at least one additional science subject (Chemistry, Biology, or Physics). This position is designed for individuals who can commit to a part-time schedule over an 8-week period, with a focus on delivering high-quality tutoring to students.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring in High Level Math topics, specifically Calculus.
• Cover at least one additional science subject, such as Chemistry, Biology, or Physics.
• Assist students in understanding complex mathematical and scientific concepts.
• Prepare lesson plans and educational materials as needed.
• Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to enhance learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in an appropriate field preferred.
• State Teacher Certification preferred (Standard Elementary, Standard Secondary, or Standard Special Teaching).
• Endorsement as a Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Full command of the English language, both verbal and written.
• Current TB results and/or chest X-ray.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in tutoring or teaching high school level math and science subjects.
• Familiarity with online teaching tools and platforms.
