About the position

The High School Equivalency (HSE) Instructor will teach students preparing for the GED Test to earn their High School Equivalency Diploma. Classes are scheduled for two nights a week, providing essential education to adult learners in the Salamanca community.

Responsibilities

• Teach students seeking to take the GED Test to earn their High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma.
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials for classes.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to help them succeed in their studies.
• Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment.

Requirements

• Hold a New York State Teacher's Certification or be willing to obtain a New York State Adult Education Teacher's Certification.

Benefits

• Hourly wage of $25 per hour, up to 6 hours per week.
