About the position
The High School Math Teacher at Stride, Inc. is responsible for delivering online math instruction to high school students in a virtual environment. This role involves building relationships with students, families, and learning coaches to ensure student progress and success. The teacher will utilize Stride K12's learning management system to monitor student performance and provide personalized support. This is a full-time remote position requiring a commitment to maintaining a professional home office and working independently.
Responsibilities
- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
- Commit to personalizing learning for all students.
- Demonstrate a belief in all students' ability to succeed and meet high expectations.
- Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery.
- Augment course content according to prescribed policies and procedures using appropriate tools under guidance from principal and coach.
- Maintain grade book ensuring student academic integrity and alert administrators to concerns about student performance.
- Prepare students for high stakes standardized tests.
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and regularly communicate with students and learning coaches.
- Support learning coaches/parents with student curricular and instructional issues in a virtual classroom environment.
- Travel as required for professional development and student testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
- Active state teaching license in Oklahoma.
- Ability to clear required background check.

- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers.
- Receptive to receiving coaching regularly with administrators and teacher trainers.
