About the position
The remote High School Math Teacher is a state certified educator responsible for delivering course content in an online environment. This role involves providing instruction, support, and guidance to students, managing the learning process, and focusing on individual student needs. Teachers monitor student progress through the learning management system and work closely with students and parents to advance learning goals. The position requires occasional travel for school functions, such as state testing.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specific course content in an online environment.
- Provide instruction, support, and guidance to students.
- Manage the learning process and focus on individual student needs.
- Monitor student progress through Stride K12's learning management system.
- Work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance learning goals.
- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
- Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery.
- Maintain grade book ensuring student academic integrity and alert administrators to concerns about student performance.
- Prepare students for high stakes standardized tests.
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and communicate regularly with students and learning coaches.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Active state teaching license
- Ability to clear required background check
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with proposed age group
- Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology
- Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment
- Experience with online learning platforms.
Benefits
- Base salary of $49,000
- Eligibility for performance bonus
