About the position

The Math Teacher at General Education High is responsible for delivering high-quality online math instruction to high school students in Oklahoma. This role involves building relationships with students, families, and learning coaches to ensure student progress and success in a virtual learning environment. The teacher will utilize Stride K12's learning management system to monitor student performance and provide personalized support. This position requires a commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging educational experience, while also maintaining a professional home office environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
• Differentiate instruction based on student mastery levels.
• Maintain a grade book and ensure academic integrity.
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests.
• Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and communicate regularly with students and learning coaches.
• Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues.
• Travel for face-to-face professional development and student testing as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Active state teaching license in Oklahoma.
• Ability to clear required background check.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and adapt to new technologies.
