About the position
The High School Math Teacher at Stride, Inc. is a state-certified educator responsible for delivering math course content in an online environment. This role involves providing instruction, support, and guidance to students, managing the learning process, and focusing on individual student needs. Teachers will monitor student progress, communicate with families, and participate in occasional travel for school functions such as state testing. The position requires a commitment to personalized learning and maintaining a professional home office environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
- Commit to personalizing learning for all students.
- Demonstrate a belief in all students' ability to succeed and meet high expectations.
- Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery.
- Maintain grade book ensuring student academic integrity and make placement decisions.
- Prepare students for high stakes standardized tests.
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and communicate regularly with students and learning coaches.
- Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues in a virtual classroom environment.
- Travel as required for professional development and student testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Active state teaching license
- Ability to clear required background check
