About the position
The High School Math Teacher at Pine Springs Preparatory Virtual Academy (PSPVA) is a state-certified educator responsible for delivering math content in an online environment. This role involves providing instruction, support, and guidance to students, managing the learning process, and focusing on individual student needs. Teachers will monitor student progress through the learning management system and work closely with students and parents to achieve educational goals. The position requires a commitment to creating a personalized and engaging educational experience for students, while also maintaining a professional home office environment.
Responsibilities
- Provides rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students
- Commits to personalizing learning for all students
- Demonstrates a belief in all students' ability to succeed and meet high expectations
- Differentiates instruction based on student level of mastery
- Maintains grade book ensuring student academic integrity and alerts administrators to concerns about student performance
- Prepares students for high stakes standardized tests
- Establishes and maintains positive rapport with families and communicates regularly with students and learning coaches
- Supports learning coaches/parents with student curricular and instructional issues
- Travels as required for professional development and student testing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Active state teaching license
- Ability to clear required background check
