About the position

The remote High School Math Teacher is a state certified educator responsible for delivering course content in an online environment. This role involves providing instruction, support, and guidance to students, managing the learning process, and focusing on individual student needs. Teachers monitor student progress and work closely with students and parents to achieve established learning goals. The position requires occasional travel for school functions such as state testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students
• Commit to personalizing learning for all students
• Demonstrate a belief in all students' ability to succeed and meet high expectations
• Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery
• Augment course content according to prescribed policies and procedures
• Maintain grade book ensuring student academic integrity and alert administrators to concerns about student performance
• Prepare students for high stakes standardized tests
• Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and communicate regularly with students and learning coaches
• Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues
• Travel as required for professional development and student testing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Active state teaching license
• Ability to clear required background check
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers
• Receptive to receiving coaching regularly
• Ability to embrace change and adapt
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
• Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies
