About the position

As a High School Spanish Teacher at Neighborhood House Charter School (NHCS), you will play a crucial role in fostering the academic and social-emotional growth of our students. This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about teaching and committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment. You will be responsible for teaching four periods a day at our Centre St. campus, focusing on the Spanish language and culture. Your lessons will be differentiated to meet the diverse needs of our students, allowing them to develop their skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking Spanish. In this leave replacement role, you will start on August 12, 2024, and continue through mid-November 2024. The school operates Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 4 PM. We expect our educators to build strong relationships with students and their families, ensuring that every scholar feels supported and valued. Your commitment to anti-racist, culturally responsive, and restorative practices will be essential in creating a classroom environment where all students can thrive.
