About the position

The position is for a High School Foreign Language Teacher specializing in Spanish at Jarrell High School. The primary purpose of this role is to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned, helping them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. The teacher will enable students to develop competencies and skills necessary to function successfully in society.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• Knowledge of core academic subject assigned.
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Regular attendance is an essential job function.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience.
