About the position

The High School Spanish Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive instruction to 9th and 10th-grade students. This role involves planning and implementing curriculum that aligns with the school's mission, fostering a safe and respectful learning environment that values academic and cultural diversity. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to address diverse learning needs and styles, ensuring all students have access to quality education.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and delivers curriculum and instructional programs in alignment with the school's mission and vision.
• Creates and maintains engaging classroom environments that promote inquiry-based learning and discussions.
• Uses multiple forms of authentic assessment to interpret, evaluate, and report student learning outcomes.
• Participates in back-to-school nights, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events.
• Plans and coordinates unit exhibitions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Appropriate Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification.
• Prior experience with International Baccalaureate MYP or DP programs is a plus.
• Understanding and commitment to inclusive learning.
• Strong research, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with MS Office.
