About the position

The High School Teen Program Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all programming for youth in grades 6 through 12 at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County. This full-time position focuses on planning and executing high-impact, outcome-driven programs, including college preparatory and entrepreneurial initiatives, while ensuring a supportive and engaging environment for teens.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees, implements, supervises, and evaluates activities provided in the Teen Center with a strategic focus on building outcome-driven programs and collecting measurable outcomes.
  • Leads BGCA programs including Keystone and Torch Club.
  • In partnership with the Area Director, plans and executes high school graduation and college prep programming including 21st Century Scholars and college visits.
  • Leads workforce readiness programming.
  • Collaborates with community partners to identify and implement external programming.
  • Creates and executes engaging in-house events for teens such as dances, parties, and conferences.
  • Establishes member pipeline by maintaining a presence in High Schools and Middle Schools for events, lunches, recruiting, and academic interventions.
  • Participates in community events to grow visibility of the Teen Center and offerings.
  • Recruits, supervises, manages, and supports Teen Center staff, tutors, and volunteers.
  • Transports members to scheduled activities as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Two years' experience in a role supervising staff and school-aged children in a group setting.
  • Demonstrated competence working with youth grades 6-12.
  • Experience working with youth with special needs and/or requiring mental health services preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with high energy and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications, specifically Microsoft Office suite.
  • Reliable transportation, safe driving record, active driver's license, and automobile insurance is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with youth with special needs and/or requiring mental health services preferred.
