About the position

GridIron Productions, LLC is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as High School / Youth Sports Videographers/Camera Operators. This part-time, contract position is perfect for those who have a passion for capturing live action sports, particularly high school and youth football games. The role involves filming games primarily on Friday nights in the Central Florida area, with the possibility of occasional Thursday games. The filming season runs from now through the end of November or December, depending on schedule changes and playoff advancements. As a videographer, you will be responsible for capturing all the action from a press box or field location, ensuring that you deliver high-quality footage of the games. You will need to arrive early for setup, typically around 6-6:30 PM, and start filming by 7-7:30 PM, continuing until the end of the game. The pay for this position ranges from $30 to $50 per game, depending on your experience and the level of the game being filmed. Payments are made weekly, and we also offer a paid internship program for college students attending local institutions such as UCF, Valencia, or Full Sail. The ideal candidate will have a ProSumer camcorder capable of filming in 1080p HD, along with a tripod to ensure steady shots. We have a loaner program available for those who may not have their own equipment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential. You will be expected to follow instructions closely and interact confidently with athletes, coaches, and parents. This position requires reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license, and candidates must be at least 21 years old. Additionally, a clean background check is mandatory, particularly concerning any criminal records involving minors.

Responsibilities

• Capture live action footage of high school and youth football games.
• Set up equipment before games and ensure everything is ready for filming.
• Film games primarily from a press box or field location, starting at 7-7:30 PM and continuing until the end of the game.
• Deliver footage to the production team after each game, either in person or via upload if internet access allows.
• Follow instructions and maintain communication with the production team and other staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid US driver's license is required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• ProSumer camcorder that films in 1080p HD and a tripod are required.
• Extensive knowledge of American football is necessary.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to follow instructions and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience filming sports, particularly football, is preferred.
• Energetic and positive attitude is a plus.
• Knowledge of soccer is beneficial for potential spring filming.
