About the position
The Field Consultant position at Signature Companies involves conducting on-site surveys of high-value residential properties. This role is designed for self-motivated individuals who can work independently and manage their own schedules while providing exceptional service to clients. The position offers flexibility and the opportunity to supplement or replace current income through independent contracting.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct on-site High Value Property Surveys.
- Professionally interact with homeowners and insurance agents via phone, email, and in-person.
- Drive to and conduct property surveys on high-value homes according to customer guidelines.
- Identify and document construction materials and unique features of homes.
- Obtain measurements of homes and other structures on the property.
- Generate estimated replacement values of homes and identify major hazards.
- Communicate information gathered during inspections through web-based reports.
Requirements
- Prior underwriting experience is desirable.
- Prior inspection experience on residential homes is desirable.
- Loss control experience is desirable.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Professionalism is key in all interactions.
- Construction experience is desired but not required.
- BA or BS degree is desired but not required.
- Must have a smartphone, tablet, and personal computer.
- A reliable vehicle and Auto and General Liability Insurance are required.
- High-speed internet access is necessary.
- Digital Camera or Smartphone with 16mp camera or greater is required.
- Measuring devices such as laser, soft tape measure, or measuring wheel are needed.
- High school diploma or GED is required; college degree preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Insurance Adjusting, Home Appraisals, Real Estate, or Construction is a plus.
- Experience using Rapid Sketch, Xactimate, CAD, or other diagramming programs will be helpful.
