About the position

The High Value Residential Insurance Inspector position at Signature Companies involves working independently as a Field Consultant to conduct on-site property surveys for high-value homes in the Oklahoma City area. The role is designed for self-motivated individuals who can manage their own schedules while providing exceptional service to clients. The position offers flexibility and the opportunity to supplement or replace current income through independent contracting.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct on-site High Value Property Surveys.
• Professionally interact with homeowners and insurance agents via phone, email, and in-person.
• Drive to properties and conduct inspections according to customer guidelines.
• Document construction materials, characteristics, and unique features of homes.
• Obtain measurements of homes and other structures on the property.
• Generate estimated replacement values and identify major hazards.
• Complete web-based reports in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Prior underwriting experience is desirable.
• Prior inspection experience on residential homes is desirable.
• Loss control experience is desirable.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Professionalism is key in all interactions.
• Construction experience is desired but not required.
• BA or BS degree is desired but not required.
• Must have a smartphone, tablet, and personal computer.
• A reliable vehicle with Auto and General Liability Insurance is required.
• High-speed internet access is necessary.
• Digital camera or smartphone with a 16mp camera or greater is required.
• Measuring devices such as laser, soft tape measure, or measuring wheel are needed.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Insurance Adjusting, Home Appraisals, Real Estate, or Construction is a plus.
• Experience using Rapid Sketch, Xactimate, CAD, or other diagramming programs will be helpful.
