  • Collaborate closely with the broader assembly team to integrate localized components effectively into the overall RESS assembly process
  • Manage prototype flow
  • Manage part quantities, variants, and replacement strategies to support assembly flexibility, production ramp-up, and continuity of supply
  • Ensure all assembly processes meet regulatory requirements and standards, including safety protocols and quality assurance measures specific to battery components
  • Develop and implement robust quality control procedures for component assembly, including inspection and testing protocols to maintain high standards of product quality
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in component assembly, working closely with manufacturing teams to implement solutions
  • Travel to supplier locations to oversee component production, resolve technical issues, and support supplier development and qualification activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation of component assembly processes, test results, corrective actions, and compliance records
  • Investigate and resolve assembly-related issues using structured problem-solving techniques
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including design engineering, supply chain, quality assurance, and operations to achieve project objectives and milestones effectively
  • Organize and participate in component supplier DFMEA reviews
  • Work with validation teams to develop, execute, and assess component DVP&Rs
  • Provide start-up and ongoing support to the North American RESS Assembly Plant

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with at least 5 years of experience in product design/development, or a Master's degree with at least 3 years of experience, or a PhD in Engineering or Engineering Technology
