About the position

The Higher Education Sales Representative at Pearson is responsible for driving and supporting teaching and learning innovation in 2/4-year college institutions. This role focuses on selling effective digital, print, and service solutions to enhance student success and address educational challenges. The representative will engage with faculty, conduct sales presentations, and collaborate with various teams to implement solutions that improve access and affordability in education.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed territory sales targets by selling course-based solutions to faculty.
  • Collaborate with specialists and account executives to implement effective program-wide solutions.
  • Conduct effective back-to-school campaigns that drive student purchases.
  • Track and forecast sales in OneCRM (salesforce.com).
  • Consistently call on 15+ faculty per day using consultative sales techniques.
  • Deliver technology sales presentations to faculty and training presentations to students.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Pearson products and educational industry issues.
  • Share successful tactics across the district and region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of exceptional sales performance in the higher education market or related industry.
  • Proficiency with Office tools, mobile technologies, and business systems.
  • Strong written, oral, and presentational communication skills.
