About the position

Kinsley Construction is actively seeking experienced Concrete Form Carpenters to join our team in the Maryland region, specifically based out of our Hagerstown, MD office. This position is ideal for self-motivated and hard-working individuals who are eager to contribute to the construction of bridge structures. As a Concrete Form Carpenter, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that involve forming and pouring concrete structural elements. This role requires a strong understanding of both panel formwork and stick building techniques, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately. In this position, you will be expected to strip out formwork after concrete pours are completed and finish the concrete as required. The work environment can be challenging, as it often involves working at heights and over water, and you must be prepared to perform tasks in various outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain. Responsibilities

  • Form and pour concrete structural elements using both panel formwork and stick building with wood formwork.
  • Read and understand blueprints as required to perform duties.
  • Strip out formwork after pours are made.
  • Finish concrete as required in above elements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work well with others, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn is required.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow direction from supervisor.
  • Willing to work at heights and over water as required.
  • Willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
  • Willing to perform tasks in various outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rainy conditions.
  • Possess basic hand tools to perform the above activities.
  • Commitment to follow the company Safety Policy and work in a safe manner at all times.
