About The Position

The Highway Maintenance Supervisor (TM III) position at the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is a working supervisory role responsible for overseeing maintenance operations in a designated geographical area. Requirements

• At least five (5) years of experience in road/highway maintenance, including two (2) years as a work lead over a maintenance crew.
• Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License Class A or B with no restrictions on air brakes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel.
• Plan, assign, and review the work of Transportation Maintenance Worker II's and other staff.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, laws, rules, and regulations.
• Coordinate with other Transportation Maintenance Supervisors and LTC Ops to ensure maintenance activities are performed according to plans and agency standards.
• Lead employees by training, mentoring, and coaching on the job and in the classroom.
• Supervise snow and ice control programs.
• Support and coordinate operations during emergency conditions and unique situations.
• Represent CDOT with cities, counties, and the public.
