About the position

The Highway Maintenance Worker is responsible for the operation of various trucks and heavy equipment for the maintenance and construction of County roads, along with performing general labor tasks. This full-time position requires a valid CDL A license and offers a competitive hourly wage along with an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of trucks and heavy equipment for road maintenance and construction.
• Perform general labor tasks as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations during operations.
• Assist in the maintenance of County roads and infrastructure.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of related work experience.
• Commercial Driver License (Class A preferred).
• Ability to be insurable under Muscatine County's insurance policy.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.
