About the position

The Highway Project Manager/Technical Lead at Johnson, Mirmiran, and Thompson Inc. is a senior-level role focused on leading and managing highway infrastructure and complete streets projects. The position requires a strong technical understanding of civil and roadway design, as well as the ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines and serve as a primary contact for clients. The successful candidate will also mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to business development efforts.

Responsibilities

• Manage all technical resources and multiple disciplines on the project team.
• 1-on-1 client interaction and participation in client presentations.
• Manage and coordinate with subconsultants.
• Develop and monitor schedules, budgets, and scope, and prepare invoices.
• Prepare project status reports and invoices.
• Develop and maintain project-specific quality plans.
• Development of extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals.
• Coordinate and assist Section Heads, Office Managers, and Practice Leaders with marketing proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited engineering program.
• Professional Engineer License.
• 8+ years' experience in specialized discipline.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with the City of Philadelphia and/or PennDOT.
• Project management and business development experience.
• Experience with multiple project delivery methods (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3).
• Experience managing multidiscipline project teams.
