About the position
As an Operator I at Mortenson, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment while adhering to safety regulations and procedures. This role emphasizes leadership and training in solar tasks, ensuring a commitment to safety and exceptional customer service. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team to achieve project goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as Forklift/Telehandler and Bobcat/Skid-steer as required by the project.
- Follow prescribed safety regulations and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform routine maintenance including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning equipment.
- Observe equipment operation to detect malfunctions.
- Follow work plans and pre-task cards.
- Build effective relationships with team members from diverse backgrounds.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Equipment certifications as required.
- Minimum one year of related experience.
- Current driver's license of proper class and necessary endorsements.
