About the position

The AM Dishwasher position at Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront involves maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a hygienic environment for food preparation and service. This role is essential for supporting the kitchen staff and enhancing guest satisfaction through efficient dishwashing and cleaning practices.

Responsibilities

  • Sweep and mop walk-in, dry storage, back dock area making sure area is neat and clean.
  • Empty trash and take all trash to dumpster, reporting back if dumpster is full; clean dumpster area when needed.
  • Clean strainer under the dish machine.
  • Wipe down all dish areas, then use stainless steel polish on all metal surfaces, including glass rack area, sinks, and all machine areas.
  • Make sure glasses and cups are in the correct racks.
  • Use the proper procedure to do silverware.

Requirements

  • Commensurate or transfer skill set is primary importance.
  • Good attitude and work ethic practices in order to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Must be able to lift a 20lb. tray of dishes.
  • Must be able to lift and dump our commercial-sized mop bucket.
  • Must be able to operate a commercial vacuum.
