About the position
The PM Dishwasher position at Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront involves maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas during the evening shift. This role is essential for ensuring that all dishware and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and organized, contributing to the overall guest experience and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Sweep and mop walk-in, dry storage, and back dock area to maintain cleanliness.
- Empty trash and take all trash to the dumpster, reporting if the dumpster is full and cleaning the area when needed.
- Clean the strainer under the dish machine.
- Wipe down all dish areas and use stainless steel polish on all metal surfaces, including glass rack area, sinks, and machine areas.
- Ensure glasses and cups are placed in the correct racks.
- Follow proper procedures for cleaning silverware.
Requirements
- Entry-level position with a focus on commensurate or transferable skill set.
- Good attitude and work ethic to ensure maximum operating efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Must be able to lift a 20lb tray of dishes and dump a commercial-sized mop bucket.
- Ability to operate a commercial vacuum.
