About the position

As an HIM Associate II at R1 RCM Inc., you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information. Your responsibilities will include preparing, scanning, and organizing medical records to ensure accurate health information management. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to navigate multiple systems to collect and enter patient data effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry functions by hand-keying electronic information into various data systems.
• Contact physicians for missing patient documentation for coding/billing and chart completion.
• Provide exemplary interpersonal skills and interact with patients and families.
• Assist with Physician Relinquishment (Suspension) and DNFB (Discharged Not Final Bill) functions.
• Perform delinquency/deficiency monitoring, data integrity, and regulatory standards compliance.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Prior experience with navigating multiple systems to collect patient information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous healthcare experience (not required but helpful).
