About the position
The Branch Manager at KeyBank is responsible for leading and developing a team to provide exceptional client service while ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory procedures. This role focuses on building strong relationships with small business clients, driving business growth through retention and acquisition, and fostering a culture of client experience and teamwork. The Branch Manager serves as a market leader, guiding the branch team to achieve financial wellness for clients and meet branch goals.
Responsibilities
- Build, coach, develop, lead, and motivate a branch team to provide excellent client service.
- Engage in outside calling to small business clients and develop centers of influence in the community.
- Grow the business through retention, expansion, and acquisition tactics.
- Lead and develop the branch team, ensuring understanding of Key's products and services.
- Facilitate strong partnerships within the branch team and with line of business partners.
- Manage staffing and scheduling of direct reports, including recruiting and onboarding new teammates.
- Deliver consistent coaching and performance management processes.
- Provide guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and internal controls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a sales capacity with a demonstrated ability to lead and coach a successful sales team.
- 3+ years of demonstrated small business deposit/credit experience.
- General understanding of financial statements and concepts.
- Demonstrated understanding of consumer credit including loan to value, debt to income, and credit reports.
- Ability to leverage Centers of Influence (COIs) to promote business.
- Experience influencing business partners.
