About the position

The Maintenance Supervisor position at BG Staffing is an immediate hire opportunity for individuals who enjoy managing a team and possess HVAC experience along with maintenance knowledge and skills. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail and the ability to lead a team effectively to complete a service schedule. This role involves handling various service requests, including HVAC and pool repairs, and requires a proactive approach to maintenance management. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing common apartment service requests, as well as overseeing larger community maintenance projects. This includes scheduling apartment turns and maintenance, and having a strong background in plumbing and electrical work is preferred. The role also entails performing tasks such as changing and repairing light bulbs and locks, installing and repairing appliances, and conducting exterior and interior painting and light drywall repairs. Additionally, you will be expected to perform groundskeeping tasks, including pressure washing and leaf blowing in breezeways and parking lots. The position requires HVAC and EPA certification, with a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license being preferred. Candidates must have dependable transportation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage a maintenance team effectively. A friendly and customer service-oriented approach is essential when interacting with co-workers and customers. The role also requires the ability to lift 40-50 lbs and own a basic set of hand tools, with power tools being a plus. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair common apartment service requests.

Requirements

  • HVAC / EPA certification required.
  • CPO License (Certified Pool Operator) preferred.
  • Dependable transportation to and from work.

  • Ability to manage a maintenance team effectively.
  • Enjoy working with others and taking direction when needed.
  • Ownership of a basic set of hand tools (e.g., screwdriver, channel lock/pliers, wrenches).
  • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.

Nice-to-haves
