About the position

Northwest Healthcare is seeking a Cardiothoracic Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Cardiothoracic Surgery team at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. This role involves supporting a busy multispecialty group, assisting in ICU procedures, and providing inpatient care for post-operative patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist CT surgeons and cardiologists with procedures
• Provide care for post-op open heart and lung surgery patients in the ICU
• Review pre-op lab and x-ray results
• Discharge post-op patients from the hospital
• Occasional outpatient clinic responsibilities

Requirements

• ICU experience required
• Comfortable assisting in ICU procedures
