About the position
The Class A Driver position involves operating various types of trucks, including Super 10, End Dump, Transfer, and Low Bed, primarily for local deliveries. The role is essential for transporting aggregates and ensuring safe and efficient operations while adhering to company policies and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Be punctual and maintain a clean truck (inside and out)
- Fill out and turn in all necessary paperwork/inspections daily
- Transport materials to and from job sites safely and efficiently
- Follow designated routes and schedules for deliveries
- Ensure proper securing of loads to prevent shifting or damage during transportation
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the truck and equipment
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating the truck
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- At least 2 years of experience as a driver
- Dump truck experience
- Knowledge of proper loading and unloading techniques for different types of materials
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good communication skills to interact with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of operating heavy equipment and lifting heavy loads
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred
